Overview
In 2016 Willies worked with Mitch Names on a total interior lighting retrofit. The old lighting utilized 32 watt T-8 Fluorescent Lamps that were near the end of life and not at the lighting levels they needed. The solution was to retrofit the existing fixtures to a 18W LED and remove all the ballasts. This dramatically increased the lighting levels, decreased the energy use and eliminated most of the maintenance associated with a ballasted fluorescent lighting system.
Advances in LED technology since 2016 will allow Willies to save another 73,496 KWh when they re-lamp again.

Details
By switching to LED they eliminated 344,487 lbs. of Green House Gas Emissions from the environment which is equal to removing 33.7 passenger vehicles from the road.
