Overview
When Micro-Fab, LLC joined Cass Precision in July of 2021, one of the first things they decided to do was improve the lighting. The lighting system consisted of metal halides in the plant and fluorescent T8 fixtures in the offices. Both inefficient by todays standards.
With a rebate available of over 50% of from the Center for Energy and Environment the project became a “No-Brainer”. The payback is under 1-Year and the lighting improved dramatically.
The improved lighting is even more important due to the precise nature of the machining work that Micro-Fab does.

Details
By switching to LED Micro-Fab eliminated 131,951 lbs. of Green House Gas Emissions from the environment which is equal to removing 12.9 passenger vehicles from the road.
- Eliminated 84 ballasts, which further reduced maintenance costs
- A longer LED lifespan means less product in landfills
